Huawei to construct CDMA WLL network in Pakistan

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) China-based Huawei Technologies Co Ltd has been selected by Worldcall Group, one of the emerging telecom groups in Pakistan, to deploy a CDMA WLL network in Karachi and Hyderabad in southern Pakistan.

In the turnkey project, Huawei will provide Worldcall Telecommunications with civil engineering, infrastructure deployment, its management and optimisation.

The new network will be built on Huawei's CDMA softswitch solution and its leading 450/479MHz BTS, which offers advantages of abundant network capacity, advanced technology and low operation costs, the company said in a statement today.

''We believe Huawei's CDMA solution will enable Worldcall to deploy networks quickly, and will enhance our service quality and ability. We look forward to further cooperation between Worldcall and Huawei,'' Worldcall Group Chairman Salmaan Taseer said.

Based on its controller-and-bearer-separated architecture, Huawei's CDMA softswitch solution enhances network security, reduces transmission costs and provides large capacity for operations.
