Fire in rubber factory

Kolkata, Sept 06 (UNI) Fire broke out in a rubber factory in Topsia, in the eastern part of the city, leading to tension in the area.

Fire brigade sources said 12 fire tenders were pressed into service.

The area has been cordoned off. The rubber factory is adjacent to a slum area.

However, there were no reports of any casualties.

The cause of the fire and the extent of loss has not been ascertained and efforts were on to douse the fire, the sources said.
