Delhi Police ASI hangs himself

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) posted at Kashmere Gate today allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his Prashant vihar residence in North-West Delhi.

Mahendra Singh (50), who was on leave since August 25, was found hanging at his Sector 13, Vijeta Vihar residence in Prashant Vihar this morning, according to sources.

In his suicide note, he said no one should be held responsible for his death.

Police suspect that he took the extreme step due to family problems.

Singh had two children -- 13-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter--both studying in school.
