Cong sidesteps queries on Telgi's confessions

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) The Congress today skirted a question on the confessions made during a narco-analysis test by Abdul Karim Telgi, main accused in the multi-crore stamp paper scam, allegedly naming NCP leaders Sharad Pawar and Chhagan Bhujbal.

"The matter is under judicial supervision.We have to wait for the outcome,"Congress Spokesman Jayanti Natrajan said replying to a question on a taped converation relating to the confession shown by a TV channel.

"The matter is under judicial probe and the law will take its course,"she said replying to repeated queries by reporters on the subject.

In the taped conversation during the narcoanalysis test, Telgi has allegedly named politicians and the police for holding out a threat to his life if he revealed the names of those allegedly involved in the scandal.

In the taped conversation, Telgi has also confessed to having paid crores of rupees as bribe to politicians and police personnel.
