Centre would not force 'Vande Mataram' on college students

Chennai, Sep 6 (UNI) The Central Government today announced that college students would not be forced to sing 'Vande Mataram' song on September 7 in view of the conclusion of its Centenary.

A release from the Secretariat here said the Centre had earlier issued a Circular asking all the college students to sing 'Vande Mataram' song compulsorily on September 7.
