Arjun Munda government must go-Left

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) The Left parties today asserted that the BJP-led NDA government in Jharkhand had forfeited its moral right to rule as it had lost majority in the state Assembly.

''This government has to go as this type of government will serve no purpose,'' Left leaders told newspersons after about 90 minute joint meeting at the CPI(M) headquarters.

CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat, party Rajya Sabha member Sitaram Yechury, CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan and party national Secretary D Raja and Forward Bloc leaders Denvrat Biswas and G Devrajan attended the meeting.

Asked about the role in the political development in Jharkhand, Mr Bardhan quipped, ''We will come into picture when this government goes.'' RSP National Secretary Abani Roy, who is away in Kolkata and could not attend the meeting, told UNI that the Jharkhand government headed by Arjun Munda should have resigned by now. ''What is the use of this type of government?'' he asked.

In fast changing political developments, the 18-month old BJP led NDA government in Jharkhand plunged into crisis when four minsiters tendered their resignations yesterday reducing Chief Minister Arjun Munda's regime to a minority.
