About 150 shops put to seal

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) Continuing with its drive to seal shops in residential areas of Delhi following a notification of the Urban Development ministry, the MCD today put to seal about 150 properties in various areas of the city .

In Najafgarh Zone, 47 properties were sealed for misuse in Nangloi, Dwarka - Rajnagar Palam and Mahipalpur while five properties were demolished and one was sealed in Vasant Kunj for unauthorised constructions.

In West Zone, demolition action was carried out at Sharda Puri, Janakpuri and Punjabi Bagh for ongoing and unauthorised constructions while five properties were sealed in Punjabi Bagh West for misuse.

In Central Zone, demolition action was carried out on an ongoing construction at Lajpat Nagar-II while eight properties were sealed in Amritnagar, Kotla Mubarakpur for misuse.

In Shahdara (North) Zone, 54 shops were sealed for misuse in Old Seemapuri, Mansarovar Park, Ram Nagar, Panchsheel Garden, Garhi Mendu - Bhajanpura Market, while 15 properties were sealed for unauthorised construction in Jagatpuri, Ram Nagar Extn, G T Road Shahdara and Khajuri Khas.

In South Zone, three properties at Malviya Nagar were sealed for misuse.

In Rohini Zone, nearly 40 properties were sealed for misuse while demolition action was carried out in 15 properties. In City Zone, seven shops were sealed at Nicholson Road, Mori Gate.

In Karol Bagh Zone, demolition action was carried out on the ongoing construction at Hardhyan Singh Road while in Narela Zone, 16 Properties at Sector-I, DSIDC-Bawana, were sealed for ongoing unauthorised construction.
