A Sweeper who posed as Health Inspector

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) A municipal sweeper, who faked his identity as a Health Inspector to collect Rs 10,000 from two south Delhi traders, has been found out and is under arrest, the anti-corruption branch of the vigilance department said today.

Daya Chand, a sweeper in ward no 7 of the Central Zone of the MCD, accepted during interrogation that he took the money from the shopkeepers of Bhogal, Shailendra Goel and Neeraj Goel, promising trade licences to them, an official statement said.

He was arrested on Monday and sent to judicial remand yesterday, it informed.
