40 quintals 'bhang' seized

Kanpur, Sep 6 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Police today arrested four persons and seized 40 quintals 'bhang' worth lakhs of rupees in Babu Purva area here.

During checking of vehicles near Tata Mill square, cops nabbed Suresh Kumar, Ramu Singh, Anil and Ram Ratan with 'bhang'.

Their two aides, however, managed to escape, police said.

In interrogation, the accused admitted they used to smuggle the consignment from Nepal to Kanpur and other adjoining districts.
