We are closely watching political developments in Jharkhand: BJP
New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) The BJP today said the party was maintaining a close watch on the political developments in Jharkhand where Arjun Munda-led BJP-JD (U) coalition has been reduced to a minority following the resignation of four ministers.
BJP Spokesman Prakash Javadekar alleged the Congress was again trying to allure members of the rival parties, a trick they had employed unabashedly soon after the Jharkhand Assembly elections.
Without commenting on the news about the resignation of four ministers from the 18-month-old government, he said we are maintaining a close watch on the situation two days ahead of the BJP national executive beginning from September 7.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Madhu Koda, Rural Development Minister Anosh Ekka, Forest Minister Harinarayan Rai and Water Resources, Food and Civil Supply Minister Kamlesh Singh tendered their resignations to Governor Syed Sibtey Razi through fax this evening.
The government enjoys a wafer thin majority in the 81-member House.
