SMC continues with demolition drive

Surat, Sep 4 (UNI) Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) continued with its demolition drive here today.

Authorities yesterday had asked the 32 families staying in Raman Towers at Begumpura in the city to vacate the building after it had developed cracks after the floods.

The building became a centre of attraction among the visitors after a rumour that the Saibaba-like figure had appeared on its wall last week.

However, SMC authorities and city Police Commissioner squashed the rumour, saying that the figure was nothing but some moist patches on the wall.
