Governor honours Sanskrit teachers
Hardwar, Sep 5 (UNI) Uttaranchal Governor Sudharshan Agarwal today honoured two eminent Sanskrit teachers on the occasion of Teacher's day. The recipients included Hari Gopal Shastri and Kamlesh Bhatt.
Addressing teachers, students and managers of the Sanskrit schools of the state, the Governor said teachers should strive hard to propagate the language and literature which is the repository of our ancient wisdom.
He urged the teaching community to update and modernise the methodology and syllabi.
Lauding the contribution of the teachers, vice-chairman of Uttaranchal Sanskrit Academy, Hardwar, Brahm Swaroop Brahmchari demanded parity in emoluments of teachers of Sanskrit schools and colleges with those of English.
