New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) Former US Secretary of State Madeleine K Albright today said early withdrawal of forces from Iraq could help protect the democratic set-up in the war-ravaged country.
''Security in Iraq is a major issue...I am very concerned following war,'' Dr Albright said while addressing a session on 'America, India and Democracy in the 21st Century'.
She also sought other nations' help for providing a stable and democratic government in Iraq.
Other countries need to go there and provide training to the people of Iraq, said Dr Albright, who was US Secretary of State in the Clinton administration.
Asked about US relations with Pakistan, she said, ''the relationship is very complicated.'' ''Pakistan is important for us because of its (geographic) location,'' she added.
