Five killed as tipper collides with KSRTC bus

Hubli, Sep 5 (UNI) Five people were killed and eight were seriously injured when a tipper, collided with a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus near Mulgund in Gadag District, about 80 km from here today.

Police said that all the victims were passengers of KSRTC Bus.

The speeding tipper, while overtaking the bus severely brushed against the side of the bus killing all the five on the spot.

The dead were identified as Meenakshi Bellad (29), Riyaz Ahmed (20), Vinod Kamareddy (20), Prashanth (23), Basavaraj Madar (19).

The injured had been admitted to Gadag hospital.
