Bhopal, Sept 5: Madhya Pradesh Public Relation Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has described the Congress' attempts to take the credit of the state achieving the status of fast moving state during India Today Conclave as laughable.

''The statement seems to have been made without proper information or study. The basis of the award is fast pace of development between 2003-2006 against 1991-2003,'' Mr Tomar said, in a statement here yesterday.

He alleged that the Congress had made negative contribution in the past 10 years.

''On the one hand, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is giving credit to people of the state for the achievement, while on the other, the Congress is taking the credit itself,'' he said.

He advised Congress leaders to humbly accept the honour given to people of state for being the fastest moving state in agriculture, law, order, infrastructure and better administration.
