Citizens body formed for flood-prevention

Surat, Sep 5 (UNI) Surat Citizen's Council Trust has formed a committee ''Citizens Expert Commission'' here yesterday to plan long and short-term measures to prevent future floods in the city.

The newly formed committee will put foward their suggestions to the enquiry commission appointed by the state government to probe the causes of the recent floods, sources said here.

The committee has lawyers, engineers, scientists, architects and sociologists as its members, sources said.
