Babloo's 'Unfulfilled Dreams' released

Lucknow, Sep 5 (UNI) ''Unfulfilled Dreams'', the English version of the book written by jailed don Babloo Srivastava was today released by Apna Dal national president Sone Lal Patel.

The book is a translation of the the don's Hindi book 'Babloo Srivastava ka adhura khayab' released last year. It gives details about how the dons plan kidnapping and also provides a glimpse of the D-company in Dubai.

For the first time, the book contains the activities of former Nepal MP Mirza Beg, who acted as an agent of underworld dons.

The second book of Babloo 'Smuggling and Liasioning', would be released on October 14 on his birthday. It will be released both in English and Hindi.

Over 40,000 copies of the Hindi version of the book has been sold out, while 20,000 copies of English translation released today have been printed.

Presently, the price of the Hindi version have been reduced to Rs 60 from Rs 80, while the price of the English version, published by Radha Publications, New Delhi, is Rs 110.

Yesterday, Babloo's parole application was rejected by the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court.

The don had petitioned that he be allowed to attend the book release function at a Lucknow hotel today.

However, a single judge bench comprising Justice O N Khandelwal rejected his plea after hearing.

The standing counsel had contended, the Uttar Pradesh government would not be able to provide security for the event.

Babloo is currently lodged in the Bareilly Central Jail.
