An undeclared alliance formed in coming by-election : Biman

Kolkata, Sep 5 (UNI) The ruling Left Front today alleged an undeclared alliance has been formed by all Opposition parties to contest the September 16 by-election in the state.

Left Front chairman Biman Bose told newsmen here that the Oppositon had come under one umbrella to fight the ruling Left Front in the coming by-election.

'' But we are confident to win all the four seats, including three Lok Sabha, '' he added.

The Trinamool Congress withdrew their candidate from the Purulia Lok Sabha constituency for one to one fight against the Front but actually it was unofficially alliance between the AITC, BJP and the Congress.

The Front will give more importance to door-to-door campaign instead of wall writing in the coming by-election, he added.

The bypolls were necessitated following the death of Trinamool MLA of Bongaon Bhupan Seth, Katwa's CPI(M) MP Mehboob Jahedi, Malda's Congress MP A B A Ghani Khan Chowdhury and the resignation of Forward Bloc MP Bir Singh Mahato.
