Three drown in river in Junagadh

Junagadh, Sep 4 (UNI) Three persons, including two minor girls, drowned in river Noli near Mangrol here.

According to police, while on their way home yesterday, Kulsum Sidiquebhai Kalavat (5), accidentally fell into the river. Her nine-year-old cousin Kulsum Anisbhai Varam, who was accompanying her cried for help and jumped into the river to save her.

Ishabhai (60), grandfather of Kulsum rushed to save both the girls, but all the three got drowned in the deep waters of the river.

Later, their bodies were retrieved from the river and sent for post-mortem at Mangrol, police said.
