T U Kuruvila to replace Joseph in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 4 (UNI) T U Kuruvila of the Kerala Congress(J) will be the new minister in the V S Achuthanandan cabinet in the state.

He succeeds Mr P J Joseph, who resigned today in the wake of adverse remarks against him in a an inquiry over his alleged sexual misconduct.

The decision to recommend Mr Kuruvila''s name to the Left Democratic Frond was taken by the Kerala Congrss(J) Parliamentry party.

Mr Kuruviala, who represents Kothamangalam, was the former Chairman of the Kerala Houseing Board.
