Production warrant against Anand Mohan

Patna, Sep 4 (UNI) Additonal district and sessions judge of Patna R S Rai today issued production warrant against former MP Anand Mohan in DM murder case.

Through a petition before the court, Mr Mohan prayed for issuance of production warrant for his appearance before it in the present case as he was currently lodged in Saharsa jail in connection with another case.

Accepting the prayer, the judge passed an order to issue production warrant and fixed Sept 18 as the date for producing Mr Singh.

According to the FIR, the then District Magistrate of Gopalganj Krishnaiya was thrashed and shot dead by an angry mob near the Khabra village on National Highway-28 on December 5, 1994. The mob was demonstrating against the murder of Chhotan Shukla, the brother of MLA Munna Shukla.

Former MP Anand Mohan, his wife and former MLA Lovely Anand and MLA Vijay Kumar Shukla alias Munna Shukla and several others had been made accused in the case.
