NCC Naval Wing students on sailing expedition

Pondicherry, Sep 4 (UNI) As many as 40 students of the Naval Wing of the NCC Cuddalore and Pondicherry today set sail on a 436 km-long ocean sailing expedition.

Deputy Director General, NCC, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar U N Chitnavis flagged off the expedition here.

The students, who set sail in two boats, would reach Thopputhurai near Nagapatinam on September 9 and return to Pondicherry on September 15.

The expedition was being arranged to inculcate an adventurous spirit among the cadets and to instil confidence in them, NCC sources said.
