MRO arrested by ACB on bribery charges

Hyderabad, Sept 4 (UNI) The Mandal Revenue Officer of Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district was arrested by the sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on bribery charges at his office today.

According to an ACB release here, the accused MRO B Prasanth was caught red handed by the ACB officials when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 2,000 to change the names in revenue records and for issue of pass books for the lands purchased by the complainant.

The officials seized the tainted amount from him and he would be produced before the Principal Special Judge for ACB cases here, the release added.
