MIM protests before Censor Board on 'Hyderabad Nawabs'

Hyderabad, Sept 4 (UNI) Majlis-e-Ittehedul Muslimeen (MIM) activists today staged a protest demonstration in front of the Regional Censor Board office, Hyderabad, demanding censoring of some 'objectionable dialogue' in the recently released Hindi film 'Hyderabad Nawabs'.

The movie was made with a backdrop of natural locations here, with the language used in the movie had a flavour of Hyderabadi Hindi. MIM activists, under the leadership of MLA Mauzam Khan, alleged that some of the dialogue hurt the sentiments of a section of people.

They threatened to intensify the agitation if the Censor Board did not take steps to delete the dialogue. The agitators also demanded an apology from the Censor Board and the film crew.

The film was made after the Hindi Film 'The Angrez' (also on Hyderabad culture) was well received. 'Hyderabad Nawabs' is produced by R K (Mama) under the banner Utopia Entertainers. Laxmi Kanth Chenna is the Director.
