LeT man involved in Raghunath temple attack arrested

Jammu, Sep 4 (UNI) A Lashkar-e-Toiba militant was arrested in Surankote area of Poonch district today for his alleged involvement in the April 2002 attack on the Raghunath temple here.

A case has been registered against him under the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) and public safety act but the court ordered to free the militant on bail.

Police sources said Maroof Khan alias Chichu was picked up for the second time in connection with the case.

Maroof was, earlier, arrested in 2002 after investigations revealed he had helped and connived with LeT militants in providing them shelter in Jammu and also supplied them weapons to attack Raghunath temple.
