JK: Four of family killed in house collapse
Jammu, Sept 4: At least five persons including a couple and their two children were killed and many others injured due to incesssant rain and house collapses in Jammu region during the past 24 hours.
Four members of a family died and another member of the family sustained critical injuries after their house collapsed in Satyalta village in Chenani area of Udhampur district due to incessant rains yesterday.
Police said the deceased have been identified as Ramesh Chand, his wife Pushpa Devi, 35 and their two children Balwan (14) and Rajni (8). Another member of the family identified as Usha Devi sustained critical injuries in the accident.
In yet another incident of house collapse, Vaishno Devi, 36, wife of one Suraj Prakash died in Pouni. Many were injured in Doda and Ramban mountainious areas due to heavy rains.
