Goa Governor, CM extend Teacher's Day greeting
Panaji, Sep 4 (UNI) Goa Governor S C Jamir and Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane have extended warm greetings to the teaching community on the eve of Teacher's Day.
The Governor in his messege said, ''At a time when we are attaching great importance to education the teachers have an important role to play in nation-building process. They are the moulders of the tender minds and hearts of the children in whom lies the future of our nation.'' ''I appeal to the teaching community of Goa to draw inspiration from Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and discarge their duties with renewed sense of dedication and commitment,'' he added.
Mr Rane in his message said, ''On the occasion of Teacher's Day, today we celebrate and express our gratitude to the great son of India Visionary and scholar Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who rose to become the President of India. The strength of the nation lies in its people and in the skills of masses.
