Cops' role in rape case under HC scanner

New Delhi, Sep 4 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today expressed anguish over a case of a minor girl's rape allegedly in connivance with the police.

After hearing a writ petition filed by the victim's mother, Justice S N Aggrawal in his order said, ''This is the most unfortunate case.'' According to the petitioner, the victim, a minor, was kidnapped and gangraped allegedly in connivance with the police in May this year.

The petitioner has also sought her daughter's custody who is presently lodged in Nirmal Chhaya, an NGO.
