Bihamgam Gurjar slain

Bhind, MP, Sep 4 (UNI) Slain dacoit Saleem Gurjar's brother Bihamgam Gurjar, who carried a reward of Rs 15,000 on his head, was shot dead in a police encounter this morning.

''Police received a tip-off that Bihamgam Gurjar, who took over the gang after his brother died in a police encounter, was camping at Hanuman temple in Bajhai ravines along with a dozen friends,'' Superintendent of Police Rajababu Singh said.

Bihamgam was planning to commit a major incident. However, police cordoned off the area and killed the dacoit in the ensuing encounter.

His accomplices managed to escape. A 12 bore gun and several cartridges were seized from the deceased dacoit.

His brother Saleem Gurjar, was killed in police encounter recently.
