Bablu's parole application rejected
Lucknow, Sep 4 (UNI) The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today rejected the parole application of jailed international mafia don Bablu Srivastava.
Bablu had petitioned for the parole, so that he could attend a ceremony to unveil his book 'Unfulfilled Dreams' at a Lucknow hotel tomorrow.
However, a single judge bench comprising Justice O N Khandelwal rejected his plea after the hearing.
The standing counsel had contended the Uttar Pradesh government would not be able to provide security for the event.
Bablu is currently lodged in the Bareilly Central Jail.
