AP CM releases 'special credit plan'

Hyderabad, Sept 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today released a special credit plan with an outlay of Rs 606.14 crore, to be implemented in ten flood affected districts. According to a press release here, credit campaigns would be conducted and consumption loans distributed before September 15. All existing crop loans would be converted into term loans before Septmeber 20, while sanctioning fresh crop loans to farmers to take up alternative crops.

Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director Dr K Ramakrishnan and President of the state level bankers committee briefed the Chief Minister on the steps taken by banks to implement relief operations.
