AAPSEOWA urges CM to scrap irregular appointments
Itanagar, Sep 4 (UNI) The All Arunachal Pradesh Supervisors and Extension Officers Welfare Association has urged state Chief Minister Gegong Apang to immediately scrap the appointment of 13 child development project officers (CDPOs) and take stern action against the wrong doers.
Alleging that laid down rules were totally flouted which allows fifty per cent of the posts from promotion or on transfer, on deputation from central or state government employees for a maximum period of four years and the rest fifty per cent through direct recruitment. The association pointed out that the appointments were made fraudulently without any advertisement, written test and interviews thereby depriving many a deserving candidates.
The candidates, who were appointed, were kiths and kins of people in the corridors of power, the association alleged. This has not only negated the often repeated claim of a transparent government but also agitated many a competent and deserving unemployed besides denying the rights of the 30 graduate supervisors and extension officers serving the social welfare, women and child development department for the last 20 years in remote areas without any prospect of promotion, the association lamented.
The association has also threatened to take legal recourse on the issue.
