VSP achieves a record turn-over 679.5 cr

Visakhapatnam, Sep 3 (UNI) The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) today achieved a record sales turn-over of Rs 679.5 crore during August, 2006.

A release from VSP said here the it produced 3.33 lakh tonnes of hot metal, 2.78 lakh tonnes liquid steel and 2.37 lakh tonnes saleable steel last month, the cumulative sales for period of April-August this year stood at Rs 3,205 crore, a record growth of nine per cent over the corresponding period last year.

The turnover, included domestic sales of Rs 3,015 crore and export sales of Rs 190 crore, the release added.
