Two paternal sisters commit suicide in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Sep 3 (UNI) Two young paternal aunt sisters allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at village Kuditre in Karvir tehsil of this district last night, police said today.

The deceased paternal sisters have been identified as Gautami Savel alias Sairaj Bhaskar(19) and Puja Suresh Bhaskar(18), both residents of Kuditre, police said.

The duo was suddenly returned back home from domestic Ganesh idol and Gauri immersion site and started vomiting. Both were rushed to the civil hospital here later but they were declared dead on admission, police said.

Gautami had married Savel three months ago. The cause of the suicide was yet to be known, police added.
