Two-day conference ''Logistica'' inaugurated

Panaji, Sep 3 (UNI) The two-day conference ''Logistica'', organised by the Goa Institute of Management (GIM), was inaugurated at the hands of Mr Douglas Bailey, CEO, Hindustan Lever Limited and group vice president of Unilever companies, South Asia, at Ramada Caravela in South Goa.

Speaking on the occasion yesterday, Mr Bailey said India was one of the most exciting markets and any major player in the Indian market has to cater to the rural population.

He said any business can succeed if it practices ALFA, which stands for Agile (speed of operation), Lean (cost reduction), Fresh (creation of a sustainable supply chain) and Availability (creating world class capabilities to serve customers).

Around 70 delegates from Goa and other parts of the country are participating in the two-day national-level seminar.
