Railway passenger shot dead by policeman
Lucknow, Sep 3 (UNI) At least one passenger was killed and two police personnel were injured after a drunk policeman opened fire over a petty dispute at the Jhansi Railway Station last night.
Police said the accused Ranjit Singh Yadav, a gunner of Mor Block Pramukh Charan Singh opened fire from his carbine killing Munna Singh on the spot and injuring two policemen.
The accused cop, allegedly in a drunken state, opened fire after a dispute over drinking water at the station.
A case was registered and the gunner had been arrested.
