Pondy Governor, CM extend Onam greetings

Pondicherry, Sep 3 (UNI) Pondicherry Lt Governor Mukut Mithi and Chief Minister N Rangasamy today greeted the people of the union territory on the occasion of 'Onam', the harvest festival of Kerala.

Mr Mithi said in a message here that the 'Onam' festival was celebrated unitedly without any differences of caste and religion.

The festival signals the start of harvest season and epitomise the new found vigour and enthusiasm of the season.

'May the Onam festival usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in the lives of the people here' he said.

Extending his greetings to the people, Mr Rangasamy also wished peace, prosperity and happiness in every household in the Pondicherry on the eve of 'Onam'.
