Moderate earthquake rattles Sumatra island

New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale jolted Nothern Sumatra island of Indonesia tonight.

According to an IMD release, the tremor, which occurred at 2151 hrs (IST), was located at 1 degree northern latitude and 97.1 degrees eastern longitude.
