Idea hits million mark

Indore, Sep 3 (UNI) Idea has claimed to have become the first cellular company in the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) category to touch the million customers figure in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

It added 4 lakh customers over the past 8 months and touched the million mark in August. The Aditya Birla Group announced 1001 awards, including a Maruti Swift, for its present and future customers on the occassion, a release said.

Idea Cellular MP and Chhattisgarh Head Shashi Shanker credited the achievement to the company's services that include an advanced and large network.
