Charamarajanagara records 9 cm rain

Bangalore, Sep 3 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.

Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chamarajnagara recorded heavy rainfall of 9 cm.

Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Mysore 1.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Farmers: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Kolar, Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Mandya, Mysore and Chamarajnagara districts and at isolated places over Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Hassan, Bellary, Davanagere, Chitradurga and Tumkur districts. Mainly dry weather may prevail over the remaining districts of the State.

Forecast for Bangalore: Partly cloudy. Light rain likely.
