ABM-Siemens-SAP consortium wins ERP contract
New Delhi, Sep 3: ABM Knowledgeware Ltd (ABM) along with Siemens Information systems Ltd (SISL) and SAP have bagged an e-governance contract worth Rs 40 crore from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).
The consortium has been entrusted with the work of implementation of SAP, covering almost 70 per cent of the functioning of MCGM.
''The company will provide subject matter expertise, software licenses and entire post-implementation support to MCGM. This also marks ABM's entry into the fast growing segment of marketing and implementation of ERP packages by association with SAP,'' ABM Managing Director Prakash Rane said.
However, SISL would do the initial implementation, as per roles of the respective consortium partners.
This is in line with the diversification and growth strategy adopted by the company. ABM expects to generate revenues of about Rs 30 crore during the term of the project, the company said in a statement.
The five-year project would cover core functions like finance, materials management, project systems, human resource, funds management, plant maintenance and real estate and is expected to go live in November.
Apart from this, ABM would also cover a specific public sector function like citizen portal and ward management.
Successful completion of this project will serve as an important reference for further growth in this segment. It will also be very significant from the point of view of developing SAP implementation skills within the company, the statement added.
ABM is a leading e-governance solutions company since 1993 having pionereed the concept of Citizen Facilitation Centre (CFC).
