7/11 blasts: Al Badr Commander brought to Mumbai
Mumbai, Sept 3: A Pakistani and an Al Badr Divisional Commander, arrested by the Army in south Kashmir on August 23, was brought here late last night in connection with the July 11 train bomb blasts and would be produced in a court later today.
The Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) officials confirmed that the accused, Touhfeen Akmal Hashmi alias Abu Amad has admitted of having information about the perpetrators of the serial blasts on July 11.
which killed as many as 200 people and injured more than 700 people.
Hashmi has also revealed that 17 terrorists of the banned Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were asked to carry out blasts in Mumbai.
While 16 ultras returned safe, one might have been killed in the blast. He also claimed of working for the Pakistani Army before joining militant cadres.
Hashmi would be produced in a holiday court for remand later today, the sources added.
Hashmi, the Al Badr Divisional Commander for Jammu and Udhampur areas, was arrested by troops of 3 Para from Nandmarg forest near Shopian in Kulgam area of south Kashmir.
