Water level in Ukai dam increases again
Surat, Sep 2 (UNI) Heavy rains in the catchment areas of Ukai dam increased the water inflow to the dam and consequently the water level has increased in the dam today.
According to the flood control room sources the water inflow to the dam was 98,468 cusecs today.
The outflow from the dam to Tapi river is 13,620 cusecs.
The total water level in the dam now is 334.92 feet, which is around five feet below the rule level.
It was during the beginning of August that the water level started to increase, leading to heavy floods in Surat.
