Udashi on change in constituency name

Haveri, Sep 2 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata party senior leader and Haveri district incharge Minister C M Udashi today alleged that certain leaders from Gadag district were indulging in renaming the Dharwad-South parliamentary constituency as Gadag.

Talking to newsmen here, he said some leaders from the district have submitted memorandum in this regard to Kuldeep Nair committee for formation of Gadag parliamentary constituency including assembly constituencies of Naregal, Nargund, Gadag, Haveri, Hirekerur, Byadagi, Ranebennur and Mundargi and excluding Shiggaon and Hangal assembly constituencies.

He warned that an agitation through out the Haveri district if the request for Gadag parliamentary was considered by the committee.
