Patna, Sept 2 (UNI) Former Bihar Chief Minister and Leader of the Oppsition in state Assembly Rabri Devi today alleged that state government was not providing security to her and her husband Lalu Prasad as per the guidelines for security cover accorded to a person under Z plus category.

Reacting to the decision of state police headquarter to withdraw the high frequency wireless sets installed for her security and Mr Prasad as well, Ms Rabri Devi said it would make the security cover vulnerable because the new sets proposed to be installed was of very low intensity. The new wireless sets would have the coverage area of only 10 km which means the connection of the cavalcade would be snapped off even if she went to Patna city or Hajipur.

Special Security Act 2000 regarding the security cover to the Chief Minister and former Chief Ministers clearly mentioned that former and incumbent Chief Ministers would be accorded same security cover, she maintained adding it was being violated in providing security cover to her. All the high frequency sets had been returned to police headquarter as per its directive.
