Narmada dam outflow reaches 5.61 lakh cusecs
Ahmedabad, Sep 2 (UNI) Almost 5.6 lakh cusecs of water are being discharged from the Sardar Sarovar Dam following heavy inflow from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Official sources said the inflow from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh was as much as 6.50 lakh cusecs. At present the water level was at 124.26 metres, about six metres above the dam level of 119 metres.
The outflow from the Narmada dam could soon reach Golden Bridge in Bharuch which is, however, much below the danger level of 22 feet, the sources said.
