Modi denies IT raids on his premises

Mumbai, Sep 2 (UNI) Income Tax sources today confirmed here that the Department had conducted a search operation at the residence of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Lalit Modi in South Mumbai.

Modi, however, denied the charges that the IT Department officials had raided his residence and added that there was no truth to the 'said' reports of the raid.

Modi, who is also the president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), blamed a private TV channel for spreading the rumour, saying he was planning to take legal action against the channel.
