Manjunath murder case hearing on Sep 21
Lakhimpur Kheri, Sep 2 (UNI) The next hearing in the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) marketing official V Manjunath murder case was today posted to September 21.
Earlier, a witness Krishna Mohan Mishra -- a constable posted at Gola police station --produced before district judge S M A Abdi, said the car, used in Manjunath's killing near a petrol pump in Gola town, was recovered in his presence. Mishra also referred to the recovery of a mobile phone and four cartridges.
The defence counsels cross-questioned him in the case.
Manjunath's bullet riddled body was found in the nearby Sitapur district on November 19 last year.
The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) alumni was an upright government servant and had taken a tough stand against adulteration of fuel at some petrol outlets.
