Indian detective gets International Award

New Delhi, Sep 2 (UNI) An Indian detective, Kunwar Vikram Singh, has been honoured by the World Association of detectives with the Investigator of the Year 2006 award.

This is the first time the award has been given to an Indian.

The award was presented at the 81st Annual Conference of the Association at Tokyo.

Mr Singh has been awarded for sovling a case of bank fraud committed in Singapore from where the criminal had fled and settled in India. He was arrested by Mr Singh at INA Market, New Delhi and this became the first case in which a private investigator arrested a criminal wanted by the interpol.
