French Naval ship to visit Andamans

Port Blair, Sep 2 (UNI) A French Naval Ship, 'Var', will visit the Andaman and Nicobar islands from September 4 to 6.

The ship will arrive on September 4 morning and leave for Port Blair harbour, an official communication from Andaman and Nicobar said today.

On arrival, the officers and sailors of the vessel would call on Commander-in-Chief of A&N Command, Vice Admiral A K Singh, India's first tri-service joint command.

They would visit Ross Island and witness Light and Sound show at the historic Cellular Jail.
